The six-speed auto range begins with the base GX and tops out with the luxury, bells-and-whistles Sahara. There are two V8 engine choices; a 227kW/439Nm 4.6-litre petrol, or a 200kW/650Nm 4.5-litre turbo-diesel. With its rugged frame chassis construction, dual-range transmission, off-road suspension and 4WD driveline the LandCruiser remains a highly capable off-roader which, with a rated braked capacity of 3.5 tonnes, is handy for towing too.
