Overview
MY26 Dynamic AWD Wagon 7st 5dr Auto 1sp AWD 685kg 1.5T/200kW Hybrid Like most other recent market entrants, Chinese brand BYD is keen to get a foothold in the large SUV segment and its new, front-drive or AWD Sealion 8 hybrid is a likely contender. Range-wide features include leather upholstery, powered, heated and ventilated front seats, a massive glass roof, a 15.6-inch infotainment display, a 10.25-inch digital-dash and a wireless phone charger. All Sealion 8s (Dynamic FWD and AWD and AWD Premium) are underpinned by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine which, depending on model, produces combined outputs of either 205kW/315Nm for the FWD version or 359kW/675Nm for the twin electric motor flagship (100km/h in 4.9 seconds). The three-row seven-seater is truly massive inside.
