Overview
T36 MY26 Summit Wagon 5dr CVT 1sp 1.5T/108kW The J5 is the first pure EV from Chery spin-off Jaecoo arrived with a tantalising price and a strong equipment list. Looking to some a bit like a mini Range Rover, it's one of the most affordable compact EVs on-sale in Australia, competing with Jaecoo sister-brand Chery's E5 , the Leapmotor B10 and the MG S5 EV. The Jaecoo J5 is an absolutely orthodox small EV with a 155kW/288Nm e-motor fed by a 58.9kWh LFP battery pack driving the front wheels. The range is claimed at 402km and the maximum DC charge rate at 130kW. A missing spare wheel is annoying, particularly as its sister Chery E5 has one.
