2014 upgrade for Mazda CX-9

Cosmetic changes to Mazda's large SUV complemented by new safety feature for GT variant
Mazda is introducing an updated CX-9 range for the 2014 model year, and a safety feature for reversing is chief among the changes.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert is one of the safety systems integrated in the i-ACTIVSENSE suite developed originally for the Mazda6, but has now found its way into the range-topping CX-9 Grand Touring model. The radar-based system looks either side from the rear of the car to detect on-coming traffic and warn the driver accordingly. In the CX-9 flagship it joins other i-ACTIVSENSE features like Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Obstruction Warning and High Beam Control.
All models in the range now ride on new alloy wheels, with the entry-level CX-9 Classic retaining the basic 18-inch rim design, but now finished in silver. Luxury and Grand Touring grades are fitted with restyled 20-inch alloys. The exterior colour selection has been revised also, with Jet Black mica and Blue Reflex mica introduced to the six-colour palette.
Mazda has introduced the updated CX-9 without change to pricing.
