Porsche has become the latest victim of a security breach following a picture of its 2020 Porsche 911 Turbo leaking online.
The image of the 992-series Porsche 911 Turbo surfaced over the weekend after Instagram user
revealed the flagship coupe on the production line.So early are the new pics, little is known about what's set to be the fastest non GT-branded Porsche of all time.
The safe money is the seventh 911 Turbo will come with a heavily revised twin-turbo 3.8-litre flat-six cylinder that will generate about 450kW.
With an even more powerful 911 Turbo S to follow, a 0-100km/h of around 2.5 seconds for the faster of the two is expected, thanks to a sophisticated launch control and all-wheel drive.
Both cars will come with an updated eight-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission.
From our first glimpse, the 992 Turbo appears to sport the usual wide-body with rear fender air intakes reserved for the Porsche flagship.
Look closer and you'll also spot square quad exhausts, a revised rear bumper that incorporates a repackaged rear diffuser and deeper side skirts absent on the standard Carrera models.
Early spy shots suggest the quickest-ever Porsche will get a new trick active rear spoiler.
Other rumours suggest the 911 Turbo could also be offered, for the first time, with a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
The Porsche 911 Turbo S E-Hybrid is expected to come equipped with an incredible 550kW and, despite weighing considerably more than the standard 911 Turbo on account of its extra hybrid gubbins, the plug-in Turbo will potentially be capable of a 0-100km/h dash of less than 2.2 seconds.
It's not known if the leak will force Porsche to change its plans and unveil the 911 Turbo at the forthcoming Geneva motor show on March 5.
