2022 Ford Ranger accessories revealed

Here’s our first look at the new off-road and touring accessories for the all-new Ford Ranger ute

You’ve seen the new-generation 2022 Ford Ranger inside and out – and now here comes the extensive accessories catalogue.

A week after ripping the covers off the hotly-anticipated Australian-developed 2022 Ford Ranger, the Blue Oval brand has previewed what’s in store for buyers looking to accessorise their new ute when the first models begin landing in showrooms mid-2022.

Available to view on Ford Australia’s official website, the Ranger catalogue includes bull bars, snorkels, spotlights, tow hooks, roof rails, sports bars, canopies and even rock rails (aka side rails/steps).

A range of almost 600 accessories have been developed in collaboration with well-known Australian brand ARB, and are split into three categories of “inspiration”: Off-roading, Touring and Camping.

A blue Ford Ranger XLT is one of the key props in the digital renderings, seen fitted with pretty well every off-road accessory you can think of.

Separately, the Touring page includes a body-coloured nudge bar and integrated driving lights and LEDs, while the Camping page shows off a roof-mounted tent and pull-out kitchen from the tray area.

Ford points out the accessories fitted are “pre-production” units for “illustrative purposes” – meaning these photos are merely a preview of what’s to come.

“More inspiration photos to be revealed soon,” the company said on its website.

In any case, the accessories continue a successful partnership between Ford and ARB that ramped up on the outgoing Ranger and Everest models – a lucrative one for both parties given how much buyers are willing to spend on aftermarket parts.

The sweetener here is that ARB parts sold through the Ford Licensed accessories program are covered by the same five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty as Ford’s own in-house accessories.

They are also fitted by Ford dealers, rather than by ARB outlets.
