2023 Maserati MC20 Cielo and coupe priced

Spyder to start $61K beyond Maserati MC20 coupe, which also cops a $29,000 price hike for MY23

As anticipated, Maserati Australia has priced the incoming 2023 Maserati MC20 Cielo well above its coupe counterpart – and that figure is now confirmed with a starting price of $528,000 plus on-road costs.

The exotic Italian drop-top will arrive on Aussie soil in January, taking the Maserati MC20 model count out to two and carrying with it a $61,000 premium over the hard-topped version.

And that’s taking into account the fact that the 2023 Maserati MC20 coupe has itself copped a hefty $29K price rise for the new model year – under which the MC20 convertible will arrive – to $467,000 plus ORCs.

The MC20 coupe is currently priced at $438,000 plus ORCs.

Compared to MY22, the 2023 Maserati MC20 will ship with a new carbon-fibre engine cover, Alcantara sports steering wheel with carbon-fibre inserts, a new blue starter button and a digital drive mode selector.

The new drive mode selector comprises a metallic bezel encompassing a round 1.6-inch TFT display and is said by Maserati to ‘characterise’ the MC20’s interior in addition to the 10.25-inch infotainment and digital instrument cluster displays.

Other additions for 2023 include a new ‘Grigio Incognito’ paint colour and, Maserati says, the “introduction of a comprehensive maintenance program for three years covering all servicing requirements as outlined in the owners’ documentation”.

No changes have been made under the skin, including to the twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 which will continue to pump out 463kW/730Nm.

In terms of optional extras, two new 20-inch wheel designs have been added to the mix; one carbon-fibre and one diamond-cut.

An ADAS option ($1299) will also be available, comprising autonomous emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian and cyclist recognition, a 360-degree camera, blind spot detection, rear cross path alert, auto-dimming exterior mirrors and traffic sign information – all features you could rightly expect to be fitted standard in a circa-$500,000 car.

“The Australian response to both the MC20 and MC20 Cielo has been nothing short of remarkable, with our allocation selling out within hours,” said Maserati Australia and New Zealand general manager Grant Barling.

“So we’re delighted to be able to offer further allocation and opportunity to personalise your MC20 and MC20 Cielo with the introduction of these model year additions and updates.”
