2023 Nissan Patrol Warrior revealed in full

Aussie-engineered full-size off-roader outed uncamouflaged via social media

The hotly anticipated 2023 Nissan Patrol Warrior has been revealed undisguised for the first time on social media, following the first dealer and press drives of pre-production vehicles in Queensland this week.

Previously only seen wearing camo in teasers, images from the event posted on various social media pages including our own clearly show the homegrown Patrol Warrior’s driver’s-side exhaust outlets, 50mm suspension lift and progressive rear springs.

Black wheel-arch flares wrapped around new black 18-inch alloys with 34.4-inch Yokohama Geolandar all-terrains, a red front bash plate, two rear recovery points and a redesigned tow bar to accommodate the larger full-size spare tyre can also be seen, along with a gloss-black grille and mirror caps.

There is no bull bar or light bar but, inside, there’s Alcantara-style inserts on the doors and upper dash – with Warrior badging – and glossy piano-black instead of woodgrain trim on the centre stack and console.

First reviews are subject to a June 15 embargo, so we can’t tell you how the pumped-up Patrol drives on- or off-road until then, and pricing won’t be released until closer to its release later this year.

“Developed and tested by Premcar to meet the harshest of Aussie conditions, the already highly capable Nissan Patrol Warrior will be exclusive to Australia and will feature wheel, tyre and suspension enhancements,” Nissan has said previously.

“These enhancements paired with the powerful 5.6L V8 direct injection engine delivering 298kW of power and 560Nm of torque, will make this vehicle the ultimate Warrior.

“Together, the carefully considered and locally tuned modifications will deliver a Patrol with improved ground clearance, a wider stance and improved ride and handling.”
