The upgraded 2024 Hyundai i30 N has been teased by Hyundai’s Czech division, specifically its Nošovice factory.
The mildly facelifted hot hatch featured as part of a sizzle reel celebrating more than 30,000 cars being produced at the plant in April across the Tucson, i30 and Kona Electric model lines, and can be seen in plain sight being inspected and tinkered with by staff as it nears the end of the assembly line.
As evidenced by spy shots last year, the i30 N facelift appears to bring little more than some new red inserts on the front air intakes and along the side skirts.
However, some bigger changes are expected to made inside the cabin, specifically revolving around the instrument cluster.
Odds are the flagship hot hatch will score the long-overdue 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster seen on every other current N model and the vast majority of Hyundai’s non-N vehicles.
Updates to the infotainment system are also possible, along with some minor chassis tweaks, but don’t expect any meaningful enhancements to the 206kW/392Nm 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine lurking under the i30 N bonnet.
Hyundai Australia has already confirmed the recently introduced Comfort Pack will continue to be offered indefinitely for the i30 N Premium with Sunroof automatic, but there’s been no word on when we can expect an official reveal or pricing announcement for the new model.
However, given it’s been teased/leaked by Hyundai itself, it would be fair to expect a full debut any day now, followed by first local deliveries starting next quarter.
Australia will be one of the only a handful of markets in the world to continue to offer the i30 N hatch alongside the smaller i20 N – which is also due for an update this year – after both models were pulled from European markets earlier this year.
Ours is also the sole right-hand drive market for the i30 Sedan N, and the only one in which it’s available alongside the i30 N hatch.
