The Australian order book for the new 2024 Maserati GranTurismo coupe and its soft-top GranCabrio sibling has officially opened, with the svelte Italian two-doors kicking off from $375,000 and $475,000 plus on-road costs respectively.
First local deliveries of the new GranTurismo will start in the third quarter of this year, followed by the GranCabrio in the fourth quarter. Just two versions of the former and only one of the latter will be available.
The initial GranTurismo line-up comprises the Modena and Trofeo versions (both priced at $450,000 plus ORCs), leaving the battery-electric Folgore to make its own grand entrance early next year – pricing for which remains TBC.
Both combustion variants feature a 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 but differ in their outputs, with the Modena singing out 365kW/600Nm while the Trofeo goes Aston Martin hunting with 410kW/650Nm.
Claimed 0-100km/h acceleration is between 3.5 and 3.9 seconds depending on the grade, while the stop speed varies between 302km/h (Modena) and 320km/h (Trofeo).
The GranCabrio Trofeo, meantime, packs 399kW/650Nm, springs to100km/h in 3.6sec and tops out at 316km/h.
All three cars utilise an eight-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel drive and height-adjustable adaptive air suspension – double-wishbone at the front and multi-link at the rear.
They also come with staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear alloy wheels – forged on the Trofeos as opposed to the Modena’s cast units.
Both models feature a driver-centric cabin headlined by plush leather upholstery, a configurable 12.2-inch infotainment interface, secondary 8.8-inch display dedicated solely to the vehicles’ climate control system and a widescreen digital instrument cluster.
For those with a penchant for fresh air or showing off, the GranCabrio’s fabric roof can be stowed or raised in just 14 seconds at speeds of up to 50km/h.
Twenty-seven different paint finishes are offered for the GranTurismos and 29 for the GranCabrio, plus five colour options for the folding roof.
