2024 Mercedes-AMG G 63 Elements Edition coming

Elemental G-wagon headed to Australia in lead-up to the facelifted model’s arrival

Mercedes-Benz Australia has announced yet another special-edition G 63 for our market, in the form of the 2024 Mercedes-AMG G 63 Elements Edition.

Priced from a cool $391,561 plus on-road costs and available only in “strictly limited” numbers as of June 19, the Elements Edition costs $28,000 more than the standard G 63 and is headlined by its elemental colour schemes and appointments.

Customers will have the option of six elemental themes to choose from, each with their own exclusive colourways – a full breakdown of which can be found below.

Common across the range, however, are 22-inch AMG forged wheels, cherry wood cargo compartment flooring and a logo package comprising unique ‘G – Stronger Than Time’ puddle lamps and ‘G’ embossed doorknobs.

Other standout features include diamond-stitched perforated Nappa leather, Active Multicontour Seat Package Plus, a premium Burmester surround sound system, sliding glass sunroof, interior air ionisation, silver chrome switchgear, black microfibre roof liner and a carbon-fibre AMG Performance steering wheel.

The Performance Package is also included as standard, increasing the G 63 Elements Edition’s top speed to 240km/h and adding an AMG carbon-fibre engine cover.

No changes have been made to the G 63’s twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8, meaning it continues to deliver a healthy 430kW/850Nm to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission.

“The Mercedes-AMG G 63 Elements Edition brings new desirability to the legendary off-roader with a range of exterior colours and upholstery schemes that have never been offered in combination before on this model in Australia, in addition to an exceptional list of eye-catching features over and above the highly specified standard G 63 model,” said Mercedes-Benz Australia.

Odds are this will be one of the last special-edition G 63s offered in Australia since production of the facelifted model is now underway, though we doubt this will do much to quell demand and improve supply.
