The 2025 BMW X1 sDrive18i Sport Collection has been detailed ahead of its arrival in Australian dealerships in the third quarter of this year, when it will land with a nationwide drive-away price of $72,900.
At that money, it’s a small premium paid over the $69,273 drive-away pricing charged for the entry BMW X1 sDrive18i XLine in New South Wales, but it gets a long list of new extra equipment designed to ramp up the small compact SUV’s sporty appeal.
Choose the BMW X1 sDrive18i Sport Collection and the German car-maker throws in the Adaptive M suspension, 18-inch M alloy wheels, and the M Sport styling pack that bolts on more aggressive front and rear bumpers.
Inside, the latest X1 special gets a panoramic glass sunroof, M Aluminium Hexacube Pale trim inlays on the dash, and heated front seats that also feature power adjustment and memory. \
That extra kit is on top of the LED headlights, power tailgate, the BMW Curved Display that combines a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with a 10.7-inch infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satnav with augmented reality, a six-speaker sound system, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, adaptive cruise control, 360-degree camera and front and rear parking sensors.
Previously, both the panoramic roof and power seats were available as an option on the xLine but only if you ticked the box for the pricy $5616 Enhancement Pack, which also added extra driver-assist tech.
One option never offered on the base X1 is the M Sport styling package, that until now was only available on higher-grade models.
More good news is the X1 sDrive18i Sport Collection comes standard with metallic paint, although the palette choice is limited to Black Sapphire, Mineral White, Space Silver and M Portimao Blue.
All versions get the black Veganza faux leather seats.
Under the bonnet the X1 Sport Collection features the same 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine that powers the X1 sDrive18i. Producing up to 115kW and 230Nm of torque, it is combined with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
With first deliveries of the BMW X1 sDrive18i Sport Collection beginning in the third quarter of 2025, the German car-maker has not revealed how many examples of its latest limited-edition model it plans to sell.
