Not my preference Disappointing “upgrade” from the B9 platform. The MMI is poorly designed and less informative despite the larger displays. The steering wheel is ugly and not pleasurable to use like the standard round top designs. The Audi logo has lost its glamour and quality. There is little indication when you’re in the car that it is an Audi. Too many touch buttons and no tactile features to make it pleasurable to operate. The brakes are too responsive, which I gather is part of the regenerative hybrid system, but is a major divergence from normal brake pedal function. The interior is not as luxurious as the B9 platform, and the raised car door handles above the B9 version is unnecessarily high now. The bolstered front end make you feel like you’re driving a utility vehicle, and it may as well be, the way that it handles.

Amazing value and brilliant vehicle. For our needs, and for the price it's the best available. We use it for camping and light off road. Can carry 2 adults and 2 children, all of our camping gear plus 4 mountain bikes (on a bike track) with ease. Most of our driving is around town which is 100% electric (about 75 to 80 km per electric) so it's very cheap to run. Only drawbacks are it's thirsty, but considering it's size that's to be expected and the intelligent cruise control is rubbish. It's a very comfortable fast and safe vehicle that's perfect for our needs.

Great value for money This GWM CANNON is well built , it looks good and has great technology to assist with saftey on daily driving. The only inconvenience with the GWM CANNON is carrying out the manual DPF burn, although i'm getting familiar with doing this fortnightly. It's simple and not a major problem. I've had Ute's for over 40 year's, this is the best yet.

Drives like the future, connected like the past I love the way this car drives — the e-POWER hybrid system makes every journey feel effortless and smooth, almost like an EV but without ever needing to plug in. Around Brisbane's stop-start traffic it really shines, and on the freeway it is whisper quiet with instant power when you need it. The e-4ORCE AWD gives you genuine confidence in wet conditions and the five drive modes mean you always have the right setup for any situation. Fuel economy has been impressive in real world driving, consistently around 6.0–6.5L/100km with a full load. The interior is comfortable and well-appointed for the Ti grade — genuine leather, panoramic sunroof, heated seats, and the 360-degree surround camera is genuinely the clearest I have ever used for parking. ProPILOT+ makes long highway stretches genuinely relaxing. The boot space is generous and practical for family life. What lets it down is the technology side. For a $52,000 car purchased in 2025 there is no smartphone app connectivity, no over-the-air software updates, and navigation maps were nearly three years out of date. Every competitor brand at this price offers these features as standard. The car itself is wonderful — just make sure you go in knowing what the MY25 is and isn't capable of before you buy.

Great value! Very practical and great value for money initially. Fuel and maintenance costs add up over time which seem expensive but make the warrior great fun and seemingly perfect for larger families. Highly recommended!

Top bang for the bucks By pure chance we test drove the J8 Ridge after testing X5, XC90 and XC60. All models including the J8 had similar powered engines and similar levels of equipment. The price difference made us pick the Jaecoo. The only complaint I have is how the gearbox is programmed; even in sports mode it is too keen to gear up which makes the car not enough responsive. However, after a few thousand kilometres I've now learned how to handle it. Another miss is there are no gear shift paddles on the steering wheel; that would easily have solved the tendency to gear up issue. Strongly recommend the J8 Ridge, especially when you get 2.5 J8 for an X5 and 2.0 J8 for an XC90.
