Strong features and pricing are undermined by persistent howling and vibration issues I think these cars look great but don't seem like they have really been through enough development work and have some underlying issues. Pros: Excellent value for money on paper High level of standard features and technology Strong towing and payload ratings Comfortable interior and good road presence Long factory warranty (in theory) Cons: Reproducible differential howling noise when driving over 90kmph. Especially at the tip in point of acceleration, de acceleration or coasting. Noticeable vibration through the seat and cabin, even when RPM appears stable. It seems to appear when reversing and you gently use the brake to slow down or when stopped at lights and the gear is in drive. Have had GWM look at the issues, and test drove another 2025 model and the issue was present in that car as well. Feels like a model-year NVH or driveline calibration issue, not an isolated vehicle. Raises concerns about long-term reliability and resale value Overall Strong features and pricing are undermined by persistent howling and vibration issues that appear systemic in the 2025 model. Buyers should test carefully at idle, at traffic lights, and in reverse before committing.

very bad mechanically as far as a car goes When driving around 60 km and below and i slow down the gear box drops into 1 st gear in more so cold mornings and brings me to a bad slow down speed, engine has a bad rattle all most like a manifold gasket is missing and loud tapping sound from engine, Took it the the dealer to be told nothing wrong with it, only option is to seel it and has only done 5400 ks and loose 10 k never buy these models dont get me started on there stupid dash out lay and eye monitoring system.

Terrible I have experienced some discomfort during low-speed rides, and I found the air conditioning to be less effective than expected on a 30-degree day. Additionally, the back air vent seems to struggle in providing cool air. Very disappointed with purchase

Very comfortable, solid car. We purchased our Rexton new in May 2024. At the time of writing we have done 31000km. This car is one of most comfortable we have owned. It has been reliable and the only criticism would be that the service costs are a little on the high side. We have had two repairs done under warranty. A fault with the BSM and the fan fuse and modification to the underside splash guard to improve airflow to the radiator. These were both carried out by our local dealer at Christies Beach with no dramas. If you need a great family SUV you need to put it on your short list.

A good roadtrip/ family car The car is amazing as it has lots of boot space. It’s great for road trips as the adaptive Cruise and lane Cruise make it easier to drive. The interior is amazing compared to the old 150 series.

A rugged, modern, and reliable ute with tough workhorse capability. I like that the GLX feels tough and no-frills, clearly designed for work first. It feels solid every time I drive it. That said, I do think the GLX+ would’ve been the better choice — I’ve had plenty of mornings where front fog lamps would’ve been useful. The privacy glass, side steps, and rear diff lock also make the GLX+ worth the extra cost. So far, there have been no major issues or reliability problems, which is exactly what I wanted from a work ute. The engine performs well — power is adequate and consistent, and it’ll hold speed uphill with a load. It accelerates slightly quicker than a Navara N-Trek Warrior, Fuel economy is impressive, averaging around 9.5 L/100 km with a loaded tray. There are a few quirks though. Permanently disabling Auto Start-Stop is essential — it’s unsafe, especially at roundabouts. Emergency braking can be intrusive, occasionally activating when it shouldn’t. On the plus side, adaptive cruise control works great, and once you get used to the driver monitoring, it’s fine and rarely goes off. The rear-view camera quality is excellent, sharp, and clear. The Auto High Beam system is useless in most situations unless your goal is to blind everyone else on the road. Interior space is excellent. The stock suspension is average — somehow too harsh over bumps yet too soft and bouncy at higher speeds, which hurts control. Speaker quality leaves a lot to be desired, especially for music, and I imagine the six-speaker setup in the GLS or GSR would sound much better. Overall, the Triton GLX is a tough, dependable ute that gets the job done. It’s built for work but is practical for most other tasks as well. It feels honest to drive, delivers great fuel economy and comfort, and only lacks a few refinements that would make it truly complete.
