2025 Ford Everest Black Edition on the way

There’s a new special edition Ford Everest on the way priced from $69,000 drive-away and due in local showrooms this July.

With order books already open, the initial production run will turn out 750 examples of the 2025 Ford Everest Black Edition which is essentially a dolled-up Trend 4x4, donning a black front grille, wing mirrors, door handles, side steps, roof rails and 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 255/65 all-terrain tyres.

Bold ‘EVEREST’ lettering on the bonnet rounds out the unique exterior look while matching scuff plates add a hint of exclusivity to the interior, the rest of which is classic Trend.

Headline appointments include an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster, 12-inch infotainment system, an eight-speaker sound system with sat-nav and smartphone mirroring, leather accented upholstery, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and start, power-adjustable driver’s seat, wireless charging pad, auto-dimming rearview mirror and adaptive cruise control.

All of the Trend’s running gear has been carried over untouched, meaning the 2.0-litre bi-turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine still outputs 154kW/500Nm and drives all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.

A two-speed transfer case, locking rear differential and 800mm wading depth are also retained, as is a 3500kg braked towing capacity and all the usual active safety gismos like AEB, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring with trailer coverage, lane-keeping etc etc.

Three colourways are available: Aluminium Metallic, Shadow Black and Alabaster White – the latter a Black Edition exclusive.
