Following the recent G80 sedan update, the 2025 Genesis GV80 has received a mild refresh for the 2026 model year. Key changes include the return of the 2.5-litre turbo, a new naming convention, two new special editions, and the local introduction of Digital Key 2.0

The return of the turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine (224kW/422Nm) drops the GV80’s starting price from around $129,000 plus on-roads (ORCs) to an even $120,000. Meanwhile, the twin-turbo 3.5-litre six-cylinder (279kW/530Nm) now asks 132,000.
Opting for the optional six-seat configuration adds another $3000, bringing the price to equation $135,000. While the new Black flagship is listed from $136,000 and is offered exclusively as a seven-seater, like the 2.5-litre turbo-petrol variant.

The sleeker GV80 Coupe now starts at $137,500 plus ORCs (+$2386). Adding the Darth Vader-inspired black exterior and interior treatment inflates the asking price to $141,500.
Justifying the price increases of the existing models is Genesis’ first local offering of Digital Key 2.0 which essentially transforms the driver’s smartphone into a key.
No changes have been made to the revived 2.5-litre turbo-petrol or the carried-over 3.5-litre turbo-petrol powertrains. Both continue to pair with an eight-speed automatic and a rear-biased, full-time all-wheel-drive system.

The MY26 Genesis GV80 is available to order now both online and in dealerships, with all variants covered by a five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty.
