2025 Mitsubishi Triton range to expand shortly

Six new variants unofficially priced ahead of their introduction in the coming months

Mitsubishi Australia is gearing up for a rapid expansion of its local Triton portfolio, with the pricing and major spec details of six upcoming variants having been published via Redbook.

We don’t have an official ETA on the newcomers, but the triple-diamond brand has been promising cab-chassis, single-cab and 4x2 versions of the new-generation Triton ever since its launch in February last year.

In ascending order based on price, the new additions to the 2025 Mitsubishi Triton range comprise the GLX dual-cab cab-chassis 4x4 manual ($47,240) and automatic ($49,490), GLX+ extra-cab pick-up 4x4 automatic ($50,340), the GLX+ dual-cab cab-chassis 4x4 automatic ($51,990), GLS dual-cab cab-chassis 4x4 automatic ($57,540) and GSR dual-cab cab-chassis 4x4 automatic ($61,540).

All of the above prices exclude on-road costs as per Mitsubishi’s usual pricing strategy, however none of the new variants have appeared on the brand’s website or configurator, though their emergence on Redbook suggests an official announcement is only a matter of weeks away.

Every new variant features the same 2.4-litre four-cylinder twin-turbo-diesel engine (150kW/470Nm) and six-speed automatic transmission as the existing ones, save for the singular manual which enters the fray with a six-speed manual instead (go figure).

All models are rated to tow 3500kg.

Yet to be seen in any capacity is a dedicated single-cab offering and another 4x2 offering beyond the GLX dual-cab pick-up which currently opens the range from $43,690.

The new additions will expand the 2025 Triton portfolio out to 13 variants, with more to come including the single cabs, more 4x2s, a Warrior-rivalling Ralliart of some description and, eventually, a plug-in hybrid.
