2025 Skoda Kodiaq RS powers up

The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq RS has been unveiled in Europe packing the same 195kW/400Nm powertrain as the updated VW Golf GTI.

Those figures mark a 15kW/30Nm improvement over its predecessor, yielding a much improved zero-100km/h time of 6.3 seconds with the help of the standard all-wheel drive system and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission on the way to a top speed of 231km/h.

The chassis has been tightened up too with variable-ratio progressive steering and Skoda’s latest DCC+ adaptive dampers that offer a broader range of settings across the Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Individual and Snow drive modes.

A new ‘Off-road’ mode has also been added to the mix to make the latest Kodiaq RS more capable in all conditions.

As before, the RS differentiates itself from its peers with a raft of RS badges, a gloss black grille, mirror caps, window frames, roof rails and rear D-pillars, plus the obligatory body kit, red brake callipers and aggro 20-inch alloy wheels.

Both the front bumper and the ‘SKODA’ lettering on the tailgate are finished in gloss black.

Within, the Kodiaq RS gets sport front seats covered in faux suede and synthetic leather, a multifunction three-spoke steering wheel with red stitching, steel pedals, a black headliner and RS-specific displays for the 10-inch digital cockpit and 13-inch infotainment system.

Keyless entry and start, matrix LED headlamps, aforementioned adaptive dampers and leather inlays on the dash.

European deliveries will start in April 2025 before the flagship Kodiaq hits Australian shores in the second half of the year – full pricing and specification details will be announced closer to launch.
