Deliveries of the 2025 Suzuki Jimny XL have resumed with immediate effect after a month-long stop-sale, though no details surrounding the apparent investigation have been confirmed.
Having temporarily paused orders, deliveries and even refunded deposits, Suzuki Australia has given the all-clear to its Indian-sourced Jimny XL and lifted the month-long stop-sale.
The brand still hasn’t gone into detail about what the investigation into the model revolved around, but managing director Michael Pachota has assured customers all is well and that there are no issues with the compact off-roader.
“While this pause was undoubtedly disruptive, it was absolutely the right step to ensure we deliver on this promise,” he said.
“With sales now resuming, we’re excited to continue delivering one of the most loved vehicles in our line-up for Australian drivers.”
When the order books shut, there was an average wait time of anywhere between a day and two months depending on the chosen transmission and colour.
It’s unclear if that’s still the statis quo or how lead times have been affected by the investigation, but the vehicle is exactly the same as before the stop-sale.
“Concluding the investigation, Suzuki Motor Corporation has confirmed that there are no concerns regarding the Jimny XL’s quality, safety, performance or compliance,” the brand said in a statement.
