The Ford Everest Wildtrak is back and once again only being offered as a limited-run proposition. Priced from $79,990 plus on-road costs, just 1000 examples of the dolled-up special edition are coming to Australia this time around, as the new V6-heavy Everest line-up approaches.

Back for a third tenure Down Under, the Everest Wildtrak is powered by the 3.0-litre ‘Lion’ turbo-diesel V6 good for 184kW/600Nm and drives all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.
It blends rugged design cues with a high level of specification as per the equivalent (full-time) Ranger Wildtrak, accentuated this time around by ‘Ignite Orange’ highlights and the matching hero colour – rather than gold.
The black and orange theme is continued within the cabin – black dash, leather-accented seats and headliner, orange contrast stitching and striping – which is headlined by a panoramic roof, ambient lighting, Ford’s 12-inch SYNC4 infotainment system, 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster and power-folding third row.

Auto-levelling dynamic matrix LED headlights also feature, as do heated front seats, 20-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, a full-time 4x4 system, low-range gearing, a rear differential lock and smartphone mirroring.
An 18-inch wheel/all-terrain tyre combination is available as a no-cost option while the Premium Towing Pack adds $2500.
As per all Everest V6s, the Wildtrak boasts a 3500kg braked towing capacity.

With only 1000 units available, the 2026 Ford Everest Wildtrak will likely be snapped up quickly and scarcely seen on the road.
Production of the special edition will kick off in May.
