Stellantis has revealed a new dual-motor variant of the 2026 Leapmotor C10 that it will launch at the Zurich motor show this October.
Named the Leapmotor C10 All-Wheel Drive, the new version of the all-electric mid-size SUV comes with dual motors that produce a mighty 430kW of power, enabling it to sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.0 seconds.
Available only in the range-topping Design trim, the new Leapmotor C10 Design 81.9kWh AWD trim gains a larger 81.9kWh battery and the carmaker’s more powerful 800-volt electrics, which unlocks faster charging.
Plug the C10 in and Leapmotor says a 30 to 80 per cent top up now takes 22 minutes, far quicker than the 30-plus minutes needed to top up the 400-volt rear-wheel drive version with a smaller 69.9kWh battery.
As well as quick and faster to charge, the C10 AWD is said to feature a smart all-wheel drive system that guarantees optimal grip, meaning the Leapmotor SUV can instantly react to different conditions by measuring out torque to the wheel with most grip to boost stability.
Finally, Leapmotor says that the C10 will come with its latest intelligent energy management system that should enhance real-world efficiency.
Full details will be released following its launch at the Swiss motor show this October, yet it isn’t known if Stellantis Australia has any plans to bring the new flagship C10 Down Under. Since it launched late last year, just 416 C10 Leapmotors have found homes, although the lack of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto might have played a part in the poor sales tally.
