Mercedes-Benz is back with another special edition C-Class; this time in the form of the C300 AMG Line Plus Edition which starts from $94,900 drive-away.

Differentiating the AMG Line Plus Edition visually from the standard C300 is the usually optional Night Package (black grille, mirror caps, beltline trim strip, window surrounds), an AMG lip spoiler, ‘metal-structure’ centre console and dash trim and black 19-inch AMG alloy wheels.
But while it may be sexier to look at, the special edition has been stripped of the standard model’s Driving Assistance Package Plus (essentially stop/go adaptive cruise control), Digital Light LED headlights, 15-speaker Burmester surround sound system and augmented-reality satnav.
Other than that, all the usual C300 suspects are present: heated and power-adjustable sports with memory function, dual-zone climate control, ARTICO upholstery, an11.9-inch MBUX touchscreen, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless smartphone mirroring and charging, keyless entry and start, 360-degree camera, active park assist and tyre pressure loss warning system.
No changes have been made to the turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol powertrain or the nine-speed automatic transmission it operates through.

Mercedes-Benz Australia has confirmed the C300 AMG Line Plus Edition is available now from dealerships in “limited numbers only” but hasn’t confirmed an exact allocation size.
For reference, the post-June 30 pricing marks a $4100 saving over the standard C300, but the current drive-away offer more than doubles that in most states when the axed on-roads are factored in.
