There’s less than a fortnight left until the new-generation 2026 Nissan Navara debuts, making it the perfect time for speculative renders of the model to emerge online… and they have.

What will the new D27 Nissan Navara look like? Something like this…
It’s no secret the next-gen Nav will be based on the current Mitsubishi Triton and going by the October 15 teaser images these speculative renders are based on, that shared DNA will be reflected in the exterior design.
That said, we’re not offended by these convincing musings which forecast the D27 to don an Americanised front fascia inspired by the Nissan Frontier and the full-sized Titan, albeit with the Triton’s signature split headlight design.

The rest of the body is – predictably – Triton, even down to the smaller details like the sailplane sports bars.
Under the bonnet will almost certainly be Mitsubishi’s twin-turbocharged 2.4-litre diesel engine (150kW/470Nm) which will operate through a six-speed automatic transmission and a full-time 4x4 system on most core variants.
Gone will be the D23’s unique coil spring rear suspension, replaced by the Triton’s more traditional leaf spring arrangement offered in tandem (by default) with a double wishbone front end, as per most modern ladder-frame utes.
The 2026 Nissan Navara will make its global debut on November 19 in Adelaide and enter the Australian market early next year.
Exact spec, pricing and capability details will all be announced later this month, though it would be safe to assume they’ll largely mirror that of the Triton which can tow 3500kg, wade through 800mm of water, carry and tonne in the tray and presents as one of the better-value offerings amongst the big-name ute players.
