Nissan Australia has confirmed the facelifted X-TRAIL medium SUV will arrive Down Under in the first quarter of 2026 carrying an $1150 price increase on account of its new look, nicer cabin materials and upgraded technology suite.

The updated X-TRAIL debuted in August – after being previewed by the US Rogue in October 2023 – promising a bold new look and more tech; precisely what’s due in early 2026.
All facelifted X-TRAILs will come with Nissan’s connected car services for the first time and “enhanced interior materials and finishes”, but no powertrain or chassis improvements – the standard 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine (135kW) and dual-motor e-POWER hybrid (157kW) system are being carried over untouched.
Also missing from the range is the tougher Rock Creek off-road variant shown in Japan alongside the sportier NISMO that’s already been ruled out from our market – Nissan Australia didn’t rule out the former, however, which we expect to replace the similarly-themed and absent N-Trek at a later date.

The brand’s local arm has confirmed it will announce the full specification details of the updated X-TRAIL closer to its launch next year, though we’re not anticipating too many changes to any trim level beyond the connected services.
All X-TRAILs will continue to be backed by a 10-year/300,000km (service-activated) factory warranty.
