Polestar has dropped another teaser of its upcoming ‘4 SUV’ and confirmed the new five-door will go on sale globally on September 2, with the first cars due Down Under before the end of the year.

This is the second time we’ve seen the new body type, having been first previewed in February when it was announced.
Details are still thin on the ground at the time of writing beyond the fact single- and dual-motor versions will be offered, the former offering up to 630km of WLTP range and the latter up to 406kW of power.
The new teaser image showcases a much flatter roofline than the existing ‘coupe’ model and thereby a taller tailgate by default – with a real back window.

Production of the new SUV will be in Korea as opposed to the usual China, specifically Busan.
The established Polestar 4 was updated earlier this year and renamed the Polestar 4 Coupe in preparation for the SUV’s – then thought to branded as a wagon or estate – global release.
Pricing and other local spec details of the coupe will be announced closer to its introduction.
