All-new Holden Commodore teased
GM's Euro brand gives glimpse of the Grand Sport version of Insignia that will be re-badged Commodore, will have new 32-LED headlightsGM Opel has offered the first official undisguised glimpse of the all-new next-generation Holden Commodore, ahead of its official launch at the Geneva motor show in March 2017.
Unfortunately, most of the all-new large five-door Insignia Grand Sport hatch -- on which Holden's imported 2018 Commodore will be based -- is obscured by a tree save for a full headlight and a glimpse of the new front bumper and grille.
Zoom in on the headlight unit and, according to Opel, the next-generation Commodore will come with the brand's pioneering IntelliLux LED lighting system.
Said to feature 32 LED segments -- twice as many as the new Holden Astra -- the new more powerful lamps are said to illuminate the road ahead clearly up to a distance of 400 metres on full beam.
The new adaptive headlights not only automatically adjust the full beam when they detect oncoming traffic but they are also able to shape the beams for maximum visibility, whatever the weather or road conditions.
