Back from the dead: Pagani remakes Zonda

Pagani has created yet another special-edition Zonda despite supposedly replacing it with the Huayra in 2011

Called the Zonda Zozo, a one-off special-edition V12 hypercar has been created for the owner of Zozotown -- a large Japanese online fashion store.

The news of the Zonda re-creation was leaked by an Italian blogger on prototypezero.net, which shared these pictures of the car being built at Pagani’s factory in Modena.

Pagani hasn’t officially announced the exact specification for the Zozo but it’s believed the Zonda is based on the 2012 760LH made for Formula One driver, Lewis Hamilton.

If so, that means under its purple carbon-fibre skin lurks a 556kW (760hp) 7.3-litre V12 made by AMG.

Hamilton famously opted for a six-speed manual gearbox, but it’s not known if the Zozo’s new owner has also opted for the do-it-yourself option.

Expect more information on what must be one of the last Zondas ever made to be released soon.
