Bentley has unveiled new carbon-fibre styling upgrades for both the Continental GT and the Bentayga SUV.
Costing £8500 ($A16,500) for the coupe and a pricier-still £17,000 ($A33,000) for the big SUV, the styling pack isn't cheap but it said to offer a flawless carbon-fibre finish and enhance both cars' aerodynamics after being subjected to 100,000km of testing.
Claimed to have been created by the same talented engineers who tweaked the aero for the record-setting Pikes Peak Continental GT hill climb car, the coupe styling pack introduces a larger front splitter, wider side skirts and a more generous rear diffuser -- all made out of lightweight carbon-fibre.
A subtle new spoiler completes the upgrades at the rear of the Bentley Continental GT.
It's a similar story for the Bentley Bentayga, except the large SUV gets an enormous twin-blade rear wing on its tailgate.
Buyers can also opt for extra front air blades, wing vents and even mirror caps -- all made, again, out of carbon-fibre.
Sadly, for those hoping for an appreciable gain in downforce over the regular coupe or SUV, prepare to be disappointed.
According to the luxury British car-maker, most of the wind tunnel-testing was to ensure the add-ons didn't disrupt or upset the regular car's standard aerodynamic performance.
Bentley says the new carbon styling packs, which are available now in Europe for the current generation Continental GT and Bentayga, can be ordered with new vehicles or retro-fitted by its dealer network.
