That's quite a feat, but it's also a reflection of the capability, versatility and technology the Blue Oval's Aussie engineers have packed into the Ranger.
Ford entrant in the booming pick-up segment isn't the cheapest in its class, but nor is it the most poorly equipped. In fact, with an extensive standard features list and a list of first-in-class driver safety aids, it's arguably the best value in its segment.
Throw in the best overall package of ride, handling and driveability, handsome looks and enviable torque, towing and wading capabilities, and it's no wonder Rangers are selling in record numbers, especially the high-spec Wildtrak flagship.
Standing head and shoulders above the 4x4 competition – both wagon and tray-back -- the Ranger is a perfect example of why dual-cab utes are rapidly becoming the number one choice for both weekend warriors and cross-country trekkers, which is why it's our best offroader once again in 2016.
