In around a week's time, Holden dealers will begin delivering Captiva SX with standard curtain airbags and a leather-bound steering wheel.
Captiva CX also upgrades to the leather-bound steering wheel and adds reverse parking sensors, charcoal roof rails, front fog lights, climate control, an air quality sensor, chrome exhaust tips and a multi-media information display for compass and external temperature information.
Reverse parking sensors are also added to the specification of the Captiva LX, which additionally incorporates satin silver roof rails, chrome door handles and automatic headlights as standard features.
With the exception of the satin silver roof rails already fitted as standard, the supernumerary items specified for the Captiva LX are also added to the standard specification of the Captiva MaXX, which also gains trip computer, chrome exhaust tips, front parking sensors, retractable cargo blind, rain-sensing wipers and a centre armrest with storage box for the second row seat occupants.
The feature upgrades add $1000 to the retail price of each Captiva variant and Holden advise that there will be further running changes with effect from November, when the Captiva range introduces a new exterior colour selection.
Prices after the adjustment will be:
All grades other than the Captiva MaXX and will offer the new exterior colour selection, which is as follows:
* Metallic paint is $360.
Currently, Captiva sales account for a 14 per cent share of the SUV market and the model mix is about 50/50 petrol to diesel. It seems like Holden is revising the specification and pricing to maintain profitability and a competitive edge over Kluger and Territory.
