Car names amongst the world’s most misspelt brands

Spelling can be a challenge for some, especially when it is for brands with unique names with car names among the world’s most misspelt brands.

Whether it’s on our food, clothes or car, brand names are all around us every day. Aside from logos, one of the key aspects that distinguishes a brand is their name, with some brand names being more recognisable and easier to spell than others.

Website money.co.uk have released some interesting analysis which reveals which global brands including car brands we misspell the most often online. They used several online sources to create a comprehensive list of the biggest brands in the world from a range of sectors, then inserted each name into the Ahrefs keyword explorer tool to see if and where the given brand name is misspelt when internet users search for it online.

Only brands where one or more variations of their name were commonly misspelt online were recorded and once data was collated for all the brands, they were ranked from highest to lowest based on the average number of times per month they were spelt incorrectly.

And surprisingly, a large number of brands on the list of spelling errors are from the automotive industry with seven out of the 20 most misspelt brands on the internet being car brand names.
