Korean car-maker to reveal its latest self-driving capability and its advanced research into wearable robots

Hyundai has announced what it plans to unveil at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, which begins on January 4 in the USA.

Topping the bill will be a fleet of autonomous IONIQ models that will demonstrate the car maker's latest self-driving capability by letting visitors to CES experience driverless journeys themselves.

According to Hyundai, a fleet of IONIQs will offer passenger rides along the roads around the exhibition centre.

Inside the mega tech event, the car maker also plans to show off its recent investment, with US technology supplier Cisco, how smart homes of the future will connect with cars.

Perhaps the biggest draw though, for fans of the seminal eighties movie Robocop, is the car-making giant will also show off its latest range of wearable robots.

The advanced robotic exoskeletons have been created for disabled or paralysed users or those who require extra physical support for lifting work.

Hyundai will show off all its latest tech on January 4.
