Honda Australia has started detailing the facelifted HR-V portfolio ahead of its arrival Down Under in the coming weeks, including the addition of a new cut-price hybrid variant.
The updated range will comprise the Vi X, e:HEV X and e:HEV L, meaning hybrids will soon out-number petrols two-to-one, however we’re yet to learn how much each version will cost.
As seen in March, the 2024 Honda HR-V has been treated to a new make-up set and will land with a revised front fascia and altered tail-light graphics, while the interior has been left largely untouched.
Headlining the spec upgrades meantime are enhanced autonomous emergency braking, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist systems, the addition of adaptive driving beam for the hybrids and range-wide Honda Connect compatibility.
No changes have been made to any of the mechanical or chassis set-ups, however Slate Grey and Botanical Green have been added to the existing colour palette.
“Building on the HR-V’s existing strengths, this newly refreshed model represents a sophisticated and intelligent small SUV, with premium quality, advanced in car technology including improved Honda Sensing and Honda Connect as standard,” Honda Australia director Carolyn McMahon said.
“With the arrival of this refreshed HR-V, we are excited to be expanding our hybrid offering to Australian consumers with the introduction of a new hybrid variant at a lower price point.
“We are confident that the new e:HEV X grade will appeal to a broader audience.”
More details, including pricing, will be shared at a later date.
