French car maker Citroën has revealed a fresh batch of images of its DS Inside concept car, upon which the production DS3 will be based.
Set for a 2010 release, Citroën's DS3 will be a direct rival to the Volkswagen Golf and this updated concept is believed to be very close to how the production version will be styled.
The interior in particular is expected to be very similar to the what you see here in form for the DS Inside concept.
Combining sporty interior elements, such as a flat-bottomed steering wheel, with contemporary design cues evident in the dynamic and flowing dashboard and stylish instrument display, the DS3 will be marketed as a European alternative to vehicles like the VW Golf and Mazda3.
Citroën says the DS Inside concept exudes class, making use of black chrome accents, thick lounge-style carpet and premium leather.
The design of the DS Line is being headed up by British designer Mark Lloyd, and represents a "Different Spirit" and a "powerful identity to the Citroën family" according to the European car maker.
Another facet of the production-ready DS3 will be a high level of what the car maker calls individuality, allowing buyers to personalise their cars.
