GM Holden has revealed a special-edition VF Commodore based on the SV6 – and asked the public to name it.
No details have been revealed for the new Commodore special, but images show the addition of 20-inch Midnight alloy wheels, allow sports pedals and a gloss black lip spoiler (sedan only).
Dubbed 'Name that Commodore', the unique marketing strategy invites Holden fans to suggest a name for the new MY15 model via Facebook between January 8 and 14.
More details about the special-edition pack, which will be offered in both SV6 sedan and ute form, will be released on Holden social media channels in the coming months.
The winner will receive a VF Commodore sedan or ute to drive for a week, a VF Commodore design sketch signed by Holden Design Director Richard Ferlazzo and their name on Holden marketing material.
“The competition is a great opportunity for Holden fans to get creative and contribute something to the history of one of Australia’s most iconic cars,” said Holden Director of Marketing, Bill Mott.
“We already have a strong relationship with Australian drivers and this is just another example of how we are continuing to listen to our customers.”
To enter, simply follow the prompts on Holden's Facebook page. The winner will be selected by Holden’s marketing and design teams and notified on Facebook.
