Organisers of a new event, Concours d'Lemons, are promising to assemble 'the world's worst cars' in Adelaide next month.
Featuring oddball and unlamented cars that are the very antithesis of collectible and classic cars, the show will be held in Edwards Park on September 23. Admission is free for both participants and onlookers. Vehicles taking part will be judged in various different categories, including 'Worst of Show'. According to the organisers, judges can be bribed, the 'proceeds' of which will be funnelled to charity, specifically the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Organisers are accepting donations on the day, and operating costs will be kept to the minimum by offering winning entrants 'recycled trophies' costing about $2 each.
Vehicle owners are encouraged to submit their entry to the organisers before September 8. The entry form is available from this web page.
