It’s not too late to slip away from your workplace and grab a new car at an unbelievable price.
Today is the last day of the current financial year and dealers are still trading to sell you the remainder of the stock they’ve been trying to clear over the past couple of months.
Tomorrow will be too late. You’ll have to wait the best part of another year to see savings anything like the numbers being bandied around by car companies and dealers.
Over the past several weeks, some of the offers have been sensational, not least of all Hyundai’s entire range subject to extended warranty cover, discounted prices with drive-way costs absorbed and very low (or even zero per cent) interest for finance.
Mazda has got in on the act too, with plenty of retail incentives rolled out across the range.
Tradies are being tempted with the Renault Trafic, with the French brand reducing the price of the entry-level variant, saving buyers the on-road costs and pitching the commercial vehicle at companies that can take advantage of the instant asset tax write-off. Bagging a bargain at a Renault dealer isn’t limited to just the Trafic either. Renault is also doing deals on the Koleos, Kadjar, Master, Kangoo and Zoe. Even the Megane RS Sport EDC can be driven out the showroom doors for less than $50,000.
There are also savings to be made buying Audi A4, Ford Everest and Volkswagen Amarok, plus Lexus RX 300 and Kia Cerato. Mercedes-Benz E 200, Isuzu MU-X and Mitsubishi Triton are also going for a song.
And as we reported back in April, the car companies and their dealers are going hard with demonstrators, offering buyers cars already registered and ready to go at a price to make your mouth water.
But you’ll have to move fast. The clock is ticking...
