A new Ford Everest Trend for under $56,000 on the road sounds pretty appealing, especially with the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine and 10-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels.
That’s what Ford is currently offering buyers in the market for one of the seven-seat wagons, and the mid-spec Trend model also features leather upholstery, powered tailgate and larger alloy wheels lacking in the base-grade Ford Everest Ambiente. Normally the Everest Trend with this powertrain would set you back $57,090 before stumping up the on-road costs, but Ford dealers will sit you behind the wheel for just $55,990 on the road.
And to seal the deal, they’re throwing in three years of free scheduled servicing too.
Volkswagen is currently running a retail incentive program for the Volkswagen Crafter 35 Runner LWB TDI340 manual van. This variant in VW’s large commercial vehicle range is usually priced at $52,790 before the on-road costs, but is being fast-tracked out the door for $48,990, including the registration, stamp duty and compulsory third-party insurance. Not only does the buyer save a whopping $3800 on the price, thousands more can be saved by Volkswagen paying the on-road costs. And Volkswagen is also holding out a finance offer of 6.99 per cent interest to approved business purchasers.
Finally, the Peugeot 508 GT, which sells for $57,490 (or $59,490 for the wagon), is currently available for $56,990, drive-away. That’s $500 off the price, and the on-road costs pocketed too, amounting to thousands saved on the purchase.
