Deal hunter: Peugeot 508 GT SW offers generous savings
Great deals on sporty, versatile family wagons from Peugeot and Isuzu, plus big savings on Mitsubishi Express vanWith Valentine’s Day just around the corner, partners wanting to do something extra-special for the most romantic day of the year are in for a treat given the family-friendly 2021 Peugeot 508 GT Sportwagon is currently on sale for $59,990 drive-away.
Usually carrying an asking price of $58,990 before the on-road costs are added, this swoopy French wagon would usually be comfortably past $60,000 by the time it’s parked in your driveway, marking a saving of several thousand dollars depending on which state or territory it’s registered.
Whether the car is Cupid’s gift or not, having a couple of grand left over and lining your back pocket is hardly a bad thing, especially if it’s from the purchase of a sporty 165kW/300Nm family hauler to take your better half out in.
Thing is though, a Euro wagon is hardly going to be useful to those who make a living on the road or from trade-based call-outs.
As such, a similar deal can be had on the long-wheelbase 2022 Mitsubishi Express GLX automatic, especially so if you have an ABN.
If this is the case, then this light commercial vehicle can be had for $44,390 drive-away, with that figure including a saving of $2850.
Those without an ABN (private buyers), meanwhile, can also get into the Express GLX automatic for $46,490 with all the on-road costs thrown in – just $1000 more than the list price.
But for the real bargain hunter, it’s hard to go past Isuzu UTE Australia’s ongoing $63,990 drive-away deal for its top-spec 2022 Isuzu MU-X LS-T 4x4 – particularly if there’s a family, towing or off-road adventure involved.
With a list price of $65,990 plus on-road costs, Isuzu’s flagship promo deal could save buyers big money depending on which state they’re in given the new-generation off-roader is being discounted by $2000 and the on-road costs are thrown in on top.
A lot like the related Isuzu D-MAX X-Terrain dual-cab ute, the deal comfortably makes the LS-T the best-value MU-X of the 4x4 range.
