High-end dual-cab 4x4 utes have been all the rage for a while now, so Mazda should probably brace for an influx of enquiries about its penultimate BT-50 variant because it’s currently available at a special drive-away price that’s less than its normal list price.
The 2023 Mazda BT-50 SP 4x4 automatic is essentially a sexed-up GT fitted with a raft of black cosmetic parts, a unique interior colourway and a manual roller cover, all of which usually retails for $68,510 plus on-road costs.
That puts its regular drive-away figure well into the mid-$70,000s, but right now the best-looking BT-50 is on special for $67,990 drive-away – and you can subtract another $1000 off that if you’re an ABN holder.

For the average customer that equates to a saving upwards of $7000 – approaching $8000 in some states and territories – while ABN holders obviously go one better than that.
The deal sees the SP drastically close its price gap with the equivalent Isuzu D-MAX X-Terrain, which currently retails from $64,990 drive-away.
Also sharpening its pencil is GWM-Haval Australia, which has slashed a healthy $3000 from the retail price of its 2023 Haval Jolion Ultra Hybrid automatic, which means it’s now on special from just $37,990 drive-away.

Finally this week, Kia Australia is getting in on the action by offering the 2023 Kia Cerato Sport automatic from $30,790 drive-away instead of the usual $29,160 plus ORCs, saving small-car buyers upwards of $3000 depending on which state or territory they live in.
And a quick note about the Cerato line-up – hatches and sedans retail for the same price, which means this offer applies to both body styles.
