There’s a $1000 factory bonus on offer for all new and demonstrator Hyundai Elantra models built prior to March of this year, but the importer has upped the ante for the entry-level Hyundai Go, offering not only the factory bonus, but also discounted drive-away pricing and a seven-year warranty.
The price on the road for the Hyundai Elantra Go with petrol and automatic powertrain is $23,490, a discount of $790 over the standard manufacturer’s retail list price of $24,280.
Another importer clearing stock is Mitsubishi, currently promising buyers of the Mitsubishi Pajero GLX auto a reduced price that includes on-road costs, plus an extended warranty and $1500 worth of accessories for no extra cost. The price has been pared back by $4000 from the manufacturer’s retail list price of $54,490 to $50,490, drive-away, and the warranty now covers parts and labour for the first seven years or 150,000km, whichever occurs first.
Finally, Volkswagen has renewed last month’s offer for the Amarok, which applied to 2019-plated models. For just slightly more, the Volkswagen Amarok Core 4x4 TDI420 dual cab with automatic transmission for 2020 is priced at $42,990 drive-away and comes with a free Enduro accessory pack. Normally, this variant of Amarok sells for $47,590, before on-road costs.
That’s a saving of $4600, without even considering the cost of registration and compulsory third-party insurance saved.
