On top of offering one of the leading aftersales care packages, Kia Australia continues to offer more than its fair share of tempting drive-away deals, and that’s exactly what it’s doing with the 2022 Kia Rio S automatic.
The second cheapest variant of the current Rio range, the S automatic usually retails for $21,990 plus on-road costs but can currently be had for $22,990 drive-away, presenting potential buyers with a saving upwards of $2000 depending on the state or territory they purchase in.
As with every Kia Rio, drive comes courtesy of a naturally-aspirated 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine sending 74kW/133Nm to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.
Those chasing something a little bigger or higher off the ground might be tempted by the 2022 Mitsubishi ASX ES automatic and its current drive-away price tag of $29,240.
The ES is the second-tier variant of the local ASX range heading into the 2023 model year, and is typically listed at $27,490 plus on-road costs.
Again depending on the region of purchase, Mitsubishi is taking care of at least half those pesky on-road costs at a time of year when any sort of saving is welcome.
The same can be said of the 2022 Peugeot Expert City SWB manual van, which is now being offered from $42,990 drive-away – roughly $400 less than its official list price.
A $400 saving might not sound like much, but another several grand worth of statutory on-road costs you won’t have to pay certainly does, and as an added bonus the offer isn’t limited to ABN buyers like a lot of commercial van deals often are.
This particular load-lugger is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine good for 110kW/370Nm and requiring 20,000km/12-month service intervals, and being the base model it features a six-speed manual transmission as standard.
