We’re now into the final quarter of trading for the 2022 calendar year, where car companies often ramp up value across key model lines in order to boost sales.
Kia, for example, is eyeing a top-three position in the marketplace this year – it’s currently sitting fourth after a huge result in September, where it finished second for the month – and has now turned to the Kia Stonic small SUV to help continue its record run.
This week, the Korean brand is offering its mid-series 2022 Kia Stonic Sport automatic for $28,190 drive-away.
This model is usually priced at $26,490 plus on-road costs, so the $1700 premium to get it onto the road under this deal – covering on-road costs such as registration, stamp duty, dealer delivery fees and, in some states, third-party insurance – represents a considerable saving.
The Stonic Sport is powered by a 74kW/133Nm 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, paired in this instance to a six-speed automatic transmission.
If your budget extends a little further and you don’t require a higher ride height with a compact car, the 2022 Citroen C3 Shine automatic is being offered for $34,990 drive-away.
That compares to a retail price of $32,267 plus on-road costs, and has the added bonus of metallic paint thrown in.
As with the Stonic, the C3 drive-away offer negates a decent portion of the car’s on-road costs while the complimentary metallic paint saves an extra $690.
The Citroen C3 is the French brand’s smallest model in Australia and comes with a peppy 81kW/205Nm 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine, paired with a six-speed automatic.
If you’re in the market for a light-commercial mid-size van, the 2022 Hyundai Staria Load automatic is hard to beat.
Hyundai is currently offering the liftback version of its latest-generation delivery van exclusively to ABN holders for $47,990 drive-away, saving buyers up to $3000 depending on the state or territory in which it’s purchased.
That’s on top of plenty of inherent value in the Staria Load, which has earned praise from our review team and has also achieved a maximum five-star safety rating from ANCAP – not to mention top billing for commercial van safety in Australia.
The 130kW/430Nm 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine in the Staria Load combines with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
