The now-12-year-old Mitsubishi ASX is showing no signs of slowing down on the sales charts as Aussie new-car buyers continue to flock to compact and medium SUVs.
While an all-new ASX is on the horizon – at least in Europe – Mitsubishi Australia has kept its small SUV relatively fresh with a series of rolling updates and a major facelift, as well as tempting drive-away deals to tempt buyers.
Continuing that theme is the 2022 Mitsubishi ASX ES automatic, which is now on sale for $28,740 drive-away.
As the second-cheapest ASX variant of them all, the ES auto usually costs $27,240 plus on-road costs, which would usually take the final transaction price beyond the $30,000 mark.
So this deal is more than halving the on-road costs and bundling them into one user-friendly $1500 premium, which not only means fewer headaches but more change.
Hyundai is doing something similar at the moment with its 2022 Hyundai Staria Load automatic, which ABN holders are currently able to drive away $47,990.
That figure may well be $2250 higher than the manufacturer’s recommended list price for its latest delivery van but, given that on-road costs in some states amount to more than $5200, some business and fleet buyers could save up to $3000 depending on where they’re located.
MG Motor is a brand that’s based its entire business model on offering great value cars and almost industry-leading aftersales support, and so there aren’t very many discounts to be had among its range.
Instead, the Chinese brand is continuing to offer some of its models, including the 2022 MG3 Excite automatic, with a ‘complimentary gift’.
Said MG3 is the flagship of its three-variant light hatch range and retails for $20,490 drive-away.
