We’re into a new financial year, but the enticing deals offered by the car companies and their dealers show no signs of letting up.
If you’re in the market for a couple of appealing French cars, there’s the award-winning Peugeot 308 priced below $30,000 on the road. The particular variant is the Peugeot 308 Allure hatch with automatic transmission. Normally priced at $30,499, not including the on-road costs, the 308 Allure hatch is currently going for just $29,990, drive-away. That’s a saving of $500 off the price, plus the registration and compulsory third-party insurance as well. We’re talking thousands there. Thrown in for good measure is three years of free servicing.
The other French brand doing deals at the moment is Renault, with the Renault Kadjar Intens SUV with automatic transmission also shedding its on-road costs for buyers this month. Usually, this variant of the Kadjar sells for $37,990, but can be purchased currently for $36,990 on the road. Once again, that represents thousands of bucks worth of registration and compulsory third-party insurance premium saved, to say nothing of the price, which is discounted by $1000 as well.
It’s not a French brand, but Isuzu Ute and its dealers have waved aside any talk of market gloom with a thoroughly gallic shrug of the shoulders, offering the Isuzu D-MAX LS-T 4X2 crew cab ute with automatic transmission for just $43,990, drive-away. The price has been lowered from $47,500 to $43,990 and the on-road costs have been absorbed also.
So, over $3500 has been knocked off the price, and there’s a further saving worth thousands from Isuzu accepting the statutory charges.
