The current-generation Honda CR-V is approaching the end of its model life ahead of an all-new replacement for the popular mid-size SUV due in local showrooms later this year, but that doesn’t mean Honda Australia is done selling its predecessor.
Instead of lowering the asking price or throwing in some extra equipment to sweeten the deal, Honda Australia is now offering the MY23 Honda CR-V VTi L AWD automatic with a seven-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty and seven years of premium roadside assist.
This marks a free two-year extension on the Japanese brand’s usual aftersales program, thereby giving the venerable CR-V the same seven-year warranty as popular rivals like the Kia Sportage and MG HS.

The VTi L AWD is the entry-level all-wheel drive variant of the local CR-V line-up and normally carries a non-negotiable retail price of $46,200 drive-away.
Propulsion is provided by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine good for 140kW of power and 240Nm of torque, harnessed by a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Meantime, while the default choice for anyone needing to carry a lot of stuff regularly and head off-road is a 4x4 ute, what if you need more tub space than the average dual-cab can provide?
Enter the 2023 LDV T60 Max LUXE Mega Tub 4x4 automatic, which is currently being offered to ABN holders for $44,990 drive-away.

This equates to a saving of $2000 compared to the usual drive-away price for ABN holders, which in turn is nearly $2500 less than the regular list price for private customers.
The Mega Tub boasts a 315mm longer wheelbase than the standard T60 Maxx and had 275mm added to its tub, which now measures 1800mm from end to end; making it the biggest in its class in front of the SsangYong Musso XLV (1600mm).
LDV Australia’s Mega Tub deal is in addition to the 2023 T60 Max Pro dual-cab 4x4 auto being offered to ABN holders until March 31 for the price of the manual – $38,990 drive-away.
Finally this week, one of the biggest small cars on the market is the Kia Cerato, which usually kicks off from $26,290 plus on-road costs. But the entry-level 2023 Kia Cerato S automatic is currently being offered for $27,890 drive-away.
Instead of paying close to $5000 in on-roads, Kia has bundled them all into one easy-to-swallow $1600 premium, which not only makes thing simpler but also easier on the wallet or purse as inflation continues to impact just about everything these days.
