Drive-away pricing for updated Outlander

Mitsubishi releases 18.5MY Outlander line-up with drive-away deals, including $27,990 Outlander ES

The Mitsubishi Outlander line-up will be updated for 2018 with drive-away pricing and the reintroduction of the entry-grade ES.

Announced on the eve of the arrival of Mitsubishi’s all-new Eclipse Cross small SUV and following the release of the 18MY Outlander, the 18.5MY (Model Year) version of the mid-size SUV stalwart kicks off with the five-seat Outlander ES 2WD (two-wheel drive).

Priced from $27,990 drive-away and powered by a 110kW/190Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine (7.0L/100km), the five-speed manual variant includes a reversing camera, 7.0-inch infotainment system with digital radio, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, seven airbags and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Next up is the Outlander ES CVT, adding seven seats and a 124kW/220Nm 2.4-litre petrol engine (7.2L/100km) to the deal for $30,990 drive-away.

Mitsubishi’s Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) adds forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and reversing sensors to the 2.4-litre range for $2500, while all-wheel drive variants attract a $4000 premium (see price list below). Add ADAS to the all-wheel drive ES and you’ll pay $37,490 drive-away.

Stepping up to the Outlander LS brings auto headlights/wipers and Mitsubishi’s ADAS safety gear for $33,990 drive-away in 2WD form. The same equipment is also offered on AWD LS petrol five-seater for an extra $5000 over its 2WD sibling.

Turbo-diesel (110kW/360Nm and 6.2L/100km) Outlander LS variants are $3000 dearer again.

Finally, the top-spec Outlander Exceed seven-seater comes with AWD as standard and is available with the choice of Mitsubishi’s 2.4-litre petrol or 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engines priced from $43,990 and $46,990 drive-away respectively.

The Exceed range adds additional safety equipment including ultrasonic misacceleration mitigation, blind-spot monitoring, 360-degree camera, lane change assist, rear cross-traffic alert and a tilt/slide sunroof.

Unique in its segment, the Outlander range is also offered with an AWD petrol-electric plug-in hybrid variant in LS and Exceed grades.

Not subject to drive-away pricing, the five-seat PHEV range is priced at $50,490 and $55,490 (plus on-road costs) respectively.

The 18.5MY Outlander range is in dealerships now.
