Everything old is new again in Porsche's museum
80 significant models from Porsche's past will go on display in the German sports car manufacturer's new museumPorsche has already relocated 12 important heritage models to its new museum at the company's head office in Zuffenhausen. The facility is due to open in coming days and the company will then move the balance of the 80 restored cars into the premises.
"In the last few weeks, we have comprehensively restored all the vehicles and polished them up for their display in the museum," says Klaus Bischof, head of the museum.
Among the first cars to go on display are a 356 Cabriolet (pictured) and the prototype 924. The company intends for the vehicles on display to be working exhibits and the museum's inventory will change as new vehicles are rolled in to replace older exhibits over time. Along with full size cars, Porsche will exhibit a number of smaller items of historical significance.
