The 2025 Maserati GT2 Stradale has been unwrapped at Monterey Car Week, revealing a more powerful, lightweight, track-focused but still road-legal version of the trident brand’s MC20 supercar.
Maserati claims the GT2 Stradale to be 60kg lighter than its donor model at 1365kg while packing an extra 8kW of power (471kW total) and wearing an aggressive new aero package designed to increase downforce.
The new front splitter, adjustable rear wing, ventilated bonnet and other subtle body tweaks generate 500kg of downforce at 280km/h in their most aggressive settings – more than three times that of the standard car.
Zero-100km/h takes 2.8 seconds (vs 2.9s) while the top speed has fallen from 325km/h to 320km/h on account of the extra drag.
Other upgrades include a GT2 racing-derived suspension set-up, steering rack, braking package and adjustable ABS.
Helping drivers extract maximum performance from the GT2 on track is a new Corsa Evo driving mode offered as part of a special Performance Pack, which also adds Michelin semi-slick tyres, a new electronic limited-slip differential and a four-way adjustable traction control system.
A further Performance Plus Pack throws in four-point harnesses and a fire-extinguisher.
Headline cabin equipment straight out the box includes a new steering wheel with LED shift lights, a 10.25-inch infotainment, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster?and acres of ultra-lightweight carbon-fibre trim.
Maserati has yet to reveal how many GT2 Stradales it plans to make, or how expensive each will be but it's rumoured that the track-suited Maserati will command a premium of around $200,000 over the already lofty $510,000 charged for the MC20.
