A rare Ferrari Enzo and two Ferrari F40s will be among the headline acts at the Vaucluse Car Club’s annual autumn gathering, to be held in Sydney next Sunday (March 28).
The three Italian exotics are among more than 100 supercars, classic cars and motorcycles ready to be displayed from the stunning clifftop venue of The Gap Bluff at Watsons Bay, near the banks of Sydney Harbour.
Not only is the gathering a showcase of special machinery: proceeds from the event will go directly to the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Also set to feature in the meet, which is open to members of the public and free to attend, is a Jaguar C-Type, E-Type and XJ220, Aston Martin Oscar Indias, a Mercedes-Benz 300SL and AMG SLS, Porsche 930 and 911 GT3s, and many more.
On the two-wheeled front the Vaucluse gathering will ensemble Italian machinery including Ducatis, Moto Guzzis and MV Agustas.
“Almost every decade of automotive history is represented, spanning a 1913 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost to a 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S. To the delight of enthusiasts, however, it’s machines from the 1960s to the 1990s that predominate,” said the car club.
“The Ferrari Enzo, the marque’s 355km/h flagship model from 2002 is arguably the star of the show – though the VCC has all but confirmed it will be joined by not just one, but two examples of the Ferrari F40, the iconic, twin-turbocharged V8 supercar of the 1980s.”
Organisers say catering and coffee will be available onsite at the meeting. Representatives from the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation will also be on hand collecting donations.
Interested car and motorcycle owners are encouraged to visit www.vauclusecarclub.com to secure tickets and follow @vauclusecarclub on Instagram.
Only a handful of exhibitor spaces remain, with ticket prices ranging from $22 (motorcycle space and coffee) to $59 (car space and coffee).
